Our dinner at Positano Home Cooking about 1.5 years ago was nothing short of amazing...the food, the wine, the company, the cooking tips & tricks, the view,...everything was absolute perfection.
My fiancé and I had such a wonderful evening. We still talk about it and when we do, we always say that it was one of our favorite evenings together, and THE best meal either of us has ever eaten. Peter not only helped us prepare an incredible meal, but was very generous with his knowledge, stories, and hospitality; it was a pleasure getting to know him.
Positano Home Cooking was our favorite experience on the Amalfi Coast. Peter was a tremendous host and teacher. His team was fantastic and so hospitable. The location in Positano is so dreamy. The meal was literally some of the best food I have ever eaten. Still dreaming about the lasagna. We can’t wait to put on our own dinner party and try out some of the recipes we learned. I highly recommend you add this experience to your visit. You won’t regret it!
What a night!! We had the most incredible experience in Peter’s villa eating, drinking, laughing and learning about food and cooking. The food was delicious and the wine was flowing. It was truly our favorite night in Positano. Thank you Peter!.
I encourage you to reserve a spot with Peter’s experience. It is worth more than what you will pay. Peter is the kind of person you do not meet often. He is very clearly passionate and knowledgeable about not only food, but also life itself. It was a pleasure being served by his staff, being a part of the experience, and talking to Peter one-on-one. He was fantastic to talk to, and if he wrote a book, I’d be reading it right now. (Maybe he has written a book?) My only comment is please be aware of your alcohol boundaries as you will open MANY bottles of wine. It is absolutely amazing. If there is a bottle of wine you don’t think he has in his cellar, I guarantee he has it. His collection is breathtaking. So beyond what you would ever experience at any tasting elsewhere, and that is the theme of what Peter has crafted. It is an experience like none other, where you can feel at home, ask questions, drink as much as you want, and most importantly eat the most delicious, healthy and locally sourced food you will ever eat. I have not gotten to the food yet - just book now. He is a master of his craft and I can tell that excellence is very important to him. Unfortunately Peter said this ends October 28th, but I will be back next year and this next time I will make sure I help my wife pace herself with the wine! Thank you Peter and his staff for an amazing one of a kind experience that we will never forget. You are inspiring and I am glad I had the opportunity to meet you.

Where do I even start? Peter and his staff immediately make you feel apart of the family and at home. The attention to detail on every single ingredient, ensuring everything is sourced organically and with a sustainable approach- beyond exceeded our expectations. Not only are you getting to assist in the preparation, you're enjoying some of the best wines that pair perfectly with each dish. Trust me, you won't be leaving wanting for more. (Hungry or sober) We would consider ourselves "foodies" and have traveled to some of the best places in the world but, this entire experience supersedes everything we've ever had. Everytime we are back in Positano, we will be going to Peter's and experience an incredible evening. Don't even waste your time or money at the "fancy" Michelin restaurants. I can assure you, you'll never have an experience like this. Thank you to Peter and his staff for making our honeymoon that much better.
All I can say is wow. Our experience at Peter’s home for Positano Home Cooking exceeded any and all expectations. If you are coming to Positano and want an extremely special and memorable experience, you must book this experience. Each and every ingredient used in this meal has a story. Peter only uses sustainably and locally sourced ingredients that are so incredibly fresh. Not only the food but the WINE! You’ll truly get a taste all around Italy and Peter will make sure you have wines that fit your specific taste. Peter was so accommodating and truly made us feel at home. Not to mention this was the best meal we had during our entire trip to Positano. Come hungry and ready to indulge in only the best food and wine that positano has to offer. We visited Rome, Sorrento, Florence and Naples and can't say enough about our night with Peter. Chef Peter taught some great cooking techniques, told some great stories, provided some fantastic wine, and obviously prepared some delicious food. We started the cooking with some Bison, arrugula and cheese, then had some squid, pasta with Porcini Mushrooms, Bonito Fish that was fresh, moist and full of flavor, Fresh Truffles, excellent fillets of beef, everything was unbelievable. What a great time. We had three other couples with us and I think that I could speak for all of us that this is a MUST DO.

There was so much food and wine that i lost track of how many courses we ate and bottles of wine Peter opened. What i enjoyed most about this class, other than Peters sense of humor, is that Peter and his 2 assistants do most of the work. we got to just relax, eat and drink. We stayed in Praiano and took a water taxi over to positano which was 25€. Peters directions from the beach were a little unclear , but he answered his phone and guided my husband and I up to his place. He was also very helpful with arranging a taxi to drive us back to our hotel in Praiano after the class was over. You will have an opportunity to purchase oils and such from Peter as well. His wine cellar is incredible and he truly cares about what everyone’s preferences are. If you are lucky you might get a chance to see Peters little white dog. See my pics! Book it now!

From the time we were greeted until the time we left, everything was magnificent. Peter is a master in the kitchen, but also keeps the flow going with all the different "characters" in the room. The food, wine, and company both nights were superb. This is absolute must do if you are only in Positano for one night. We will definitely make a return visit here.

My wife and I had the best time with other guests and learning from Peter what we were preparing and where exactly it came from. Food was sooo amazing...truly one of the best meal experiences we ever had and we had been lucky to enjoy restaurants all over the world. Peter is funny, knowledgeable, and obviously passionate about food, wine, and the whole experience. He makes sure that you will love everything...he opened so many bottles of wine just to make sure that he pleases ever palate that night and his wine cellar is impressive! I read all of the reviews... read more for Positano Home Cooking, and booked an evening with my husband. This undoubtedly was one of the highlights of our 12 day trip to the Amalfi Coast. Peter was extremely welcoming and so relatable during the entire evening. He is so knowledgable about good clean cooking, and created the most delicious menu with several courses that we thoroughly enjoyed. His ingredients were all organic and locally sourced, which was also just wonderful. We had a different wine pairing from his wine cellar with each course. We also toured the wine cellar, and did some tastings, as well. I would definitely recommend booking an evening with Peter to anyone who loves good food and wine, and is interested in a true local experience while in Positano. You will not be disappointed.

We were in a beautiful home looking out onto Positano’s beach, with an amazing wine cellar and kitchen, and Peter really just invited us all in to share his passion for food. He’s an amazing chef and storyteller, and extremely knowledgeable about the food industry and taught us all a lot of sourcing good, delicious ingredients. We were working with top notch stuff like expensive knives, legit truffle oils and vinegar he made/sourced himself. We had at a mahi mahi caught earlier in the day made three different ways, and more wine than we could drink. He was very generous with all the food and wine he had, and really wanted to share his knowledge and passion about food. Rather than feeling like a customer who he had to make a margin on, he was very genuine when he told us that we wanted us to feel like we were in our own home.
We had a truly phenomenal experience just spending time with Peter and the other guests, enjoying great view, food and drinks! If you are in Positano and looking to splurge on one thing, make it Peter’s class.

BOOK THIS NOW. My wife and I were lucky enough to book this for our honeymoon. Just reading the description of this and receiving the first email from Peter... read more had me looking forward to this for months. I couldn’t have had higher expectations going into the evening and it still exceeded every one of them. The food was spectacular, the wine was free-flowing and delightful (he hand picks one for every person in the class based on their favorite variety), the views were stunning, and Peter was by far the highlight of it all.
We spent 2 weeks all over Italy and if I could relive just one of the the things we did - it would be this evening. He keeps the groups to an intimate size so you actually get to know the people you are with and has gets involved as you need him to as you prepare the dishes.
This is a 12/10. So many cooking classes in Italy are exactly what you would expect them to be - standard pizza and pasta making. If you want to to really learn about the region and the beauty of using local ingredients from someone who is very passionate about sharing his experience and time with you. Please go know further. This to me is an absolute must for anyone staying near Positano.
