The gardens, greenery, and views were straight out of a fantasy.... read more We began the evening with two scrumptious appetizers and sipped prosecco as chef prepared a fresh-off-the-boat slab of ahi tuna, what we thought was going to be the main course. Oh no, this was just the THIRD course, the best, freshest fish we've ever tasted. Following the tuna, we decended into the cellar for an education on Italy's array of red wines. And yes, we had another course while in the cellar. From there we selected several bottles of wine to taste and brought them back to the kitchen, where we prepared a simple, yet delectible pasta dish. The final course was served, a fantastic cut of dry-aged steak, accompanied by mushroom risotto. And of course, we can't forget dessert - by far the best creme brulee and tiramisu we've ever tasted.

I cannot express enough how much this experience meant to us. Sincerely, it was the absolute best experience we had while in Italy for two weeks. It will forever be the most memorable meal of our lives. If you have the opportunity to participate in this culinary experience, please do not pass it up. I promise you, by the end of the night you will feel like a thieve for everything you learn and consume at the price you pay for this "cooking class."

Chef, your passion for clean, fresh, real ingredients is inspiring. I didn't know I needed this experience on my bucket list, but even now after I've already done it, I'm adding it to the list! I hope someday I can return and live through this fantasy once again. Thank you for all that you do.

I can't wait to start asking more questions and researching where to get higher quality food in our own backyard. Also this experience has phenomenal wine pairings with each dish. I joked at the end he is the Olivander of Wine for any Harry Potter fans out there. He curates a completely customized wine journey based on your answers to a few preference questions. I discovered so many favorite new wines from his incredible wine cellar.

  I had done quite a bit of research on the various cooking classes that were available in Positano prior to booking this class. I read all of the reviews... read more for Positano Home Cooking, and booked an evening with my husband. This undoubtedly was one of the highlights of our 12 day trip to the Amalfi Coast. Peter was extremely welcoming and so relatable during the entire evening. He is so knowledgable about good clean cooking, and created the most delicious menu with several courses that we thoroughly enjoyed. His ingredients were all organic and locally sourced, which was also just wonderful. We had a different wine pairing from his wine cellar with each course. We also toured the wine cellar, and did some tastings, as well. I would definitely recommend booking an evening with Peter to anyone who loves good food and wine, and is interested in a true local experience while in Positano. You will not be disappointed.

We were in a beautiful home looking out onto Positano’s beach, with an amazing wine cellar and kitchen, and Peter really just invited us all in to share his passion for food. He’s an amazing chef and storyteller, and extremely knowledgeable about the food industry and taught us all a lot of sourcing good, delicious ingredients. We were working with top notch stuff like expensive knives, legit truffle oils and vinegar he made/sourced himself. We had at a mahi mahi caught earlier in the day made three different ways, and more wine than we could drink. He was very generous with all the food and wine he had, and really wanted to share his knowledge and passion about food. Rather than feeling like a customer who he had to make a margin on, he was very genuine when he told us that we wanted us to feel like we were in our own home.

We had a truly phenomenal experience just spending time with Peter and the other guests, enjoying great view, food and drinks! If you are in Positano and looking to splurge on one thing, make it Peter’s class.

My wife and I had the best time with other guests and learning from Peter what we were preparing and where exactly it came from. Food was sooo amazing...truly one of the best meal experiences we ever had and we had been lucky to enjoy restaurants all over the world. Peter is funny, knowledgeable, and obviously passionate about food, wine, and the whole experience. He makes sure that you will love everything...he opened so many bottles of wine just to make sure that he pleases ever palate that night and his wine cellar is impressive! From the time we were greeted until the time we left, everything was magnificent. Peter is a master in the kitchen, but also keeps the flow going with all the different "characters" in the room. The food, wine, and company both nights were superb. This is absolute must do if you are only in Positano for one night. We will definitely make a return visit here.

We had the best time and would highly recommend this. But make sure you have time because its all evening I think. I guess it does take a while to drink all that wine. Not sure how quick the lunch booking is. I couldn't think of anything that could have been done better and I will be booking this again if we ever return. Highlight of our whole trip.

  This review is long overdue, given this was one of the most incredible experiences of both my husband and my life to date. We honeymooned in Positano in September and... read more were lucky enough to have secured spots in Peter's Positano Home Cooking Class.

We were greeted by Peter and his assistant on the steps outside of his villa and promptly guided through a beautiful garden to balcony seating overlooking the ocean. Once all of the class attendees arrived, we ventured inside to the cooking station, where Peter uncorked the most delicate, delicious Prosecco. Before the Prosecco was finished, gorgeous bottles of chardonnay were opened and enjoyed. Our glasses were never empty and each wine complimented the food prepared.

We were astonished at the quality of the food and wine served, and Peter's vast knowledge of it. He explained where all of the food was sourced - most of the vegetables were grown in Peter's garden and he explained where the other ingredients came from.

We enjoyed 5 courses, starting with roll ups consisting of prosciutto, arugula, the most incredible gorgonzola and parmesan. The final course was the most gorgeous beef filet and Italian sausage and we were served a delicious torte for dessert that Peter made himself. Each course prepared was extremely fresh (all ingredients were biodynamic or organic), flavorful and special.

Peter's family has lived in Positano for generations and his love for the region is bold and pure. His passion for sustainability is inspiring. We learned so much!

The combination of Peter's expertise, personality (sophisticated with a hilarious, raunchy flair) and the most incredible food made this one of the most special experiences of our lives. We did not want the evening to end and will absolutely take this class again if given the chance.

If you're thinking about taking this class - don't hesitate. You will not regret it!
